Sleep isn’t a sign of laziness—it’s a secret weapon.

Sleep isn’t a sign of laziness—it’s my secret weapon.

And I didn’t always know that.

There was a time I believed that pushing through exhaustion meant I was dedicated. That running on caffeine and chaos somehow proved I was serious about my work.

Spoiler: It mostly just made me snappy, scattered, and permanently tired.

But now?

Sleep is part of my strategy.

My mental clarity sharpens.

My empathy deepens.

And I actually feel like a human—not just a high-functioning to-do list.

As an occupational therapist, I see this shift in my clients too:

🧠 Focus improves.

🫶 Relationships soften.

🌱 Healing begins—quietly, steadily—when rest is respected.

Somewhere along the way, we started treating sleep like a reward.

But it’s not a treat.

It’s a biological need.

And it just might be your unlocked potential in disguise.

So here’s my favorite question to reflect on lately:

✨ What version of you shows up when you’re well-rested?

The creative one?

The kind one?

The one with the energy to actually enjoy life?

That version deserves to exist more often.

Rest is not the opposite of ambition.

It’s the fuel for it.
